Apple Airports & RADIUS Authentication

Radiator is a portable RADIUS Authentication server, which may be configured to work with backing databases for either Authentication or/and accounting purposes. The Radiator product is written in Perl for portability and readily works on a number operating systems (Mac OS-9 and Mac OS X, VMS, Windows 95/98/NT/2000, UNIX, Linux, etc.)

Radiator OS X Installation

The installation requires Perl, which is included in Mac OS X, as well as some Perl support files that are installed with the OS X Developer Software and some common Perl modules that are readily downloaded from CPAN (the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network).

The following pages will outline the steps required to install Radiator on OS X to provide Authentication services to Airport Base Stations utilizing the MAC addresses of individual Airport Cards in a central database.
